My grandma
My maternal grandma was so full of life, so gracious, so wise and elegant, and was the least judgmental person I have ever met. She was born in 1918 in Mexico City and was a true pioneer: she went to the first university that allowed women. She worked in a law firm, taught mathematics, was a pianist, a painter and a sculptor. She was instrumental in my love for fashion, for getting dressed up and showing up with a good attitude. She taught me kindness, and as I get older I see how much she left in me.
My mom
She is the most stoic, disciplined person I know. She had an incredible career and worked so hard to prove that women have an important seat at the table. My love for history, documenting life and appreciating art come from her. She has always been my number one supporter, as well as someone to keep me in check.

My aunts
Three of my aunts (Cuis, Claudia and Rosy) were the main reason I grew up knowing that I can be whoever I want to be and that everyone should just live their life. They were generous with their love and time, and taught me self-esteem. They also gave me a safe space to openly discuss things that I couldn’t discuss with my parents. They really carried me and to this day, we are very close. They also have the wildest stories, and those have provided endless entertainment for my friends through the years.
