In 2015, founder Stacey Boyd joined Malala Yousafzai on a trip to a Kenyan refugee camp. While visiting with a group of young women, she had a realization—a fraction of the cost of the handbag she was carrying could send one of those girls to school for an entire year. In that moment, another truth became clear: talent is equally distributed, but opportunity is not. Stacey returned home determined to build a different kind of retailer.
