Valeriya, your first rings were made from gold that your mother saved. How did that influence your design philosophy?

Jewelry should hold meaning beyond its beauty. It should carry memories, emotions and pieces of our personal histories. When I design, I want to create pieces that become part of someone's story; something they will treasure, wear and eventually pass down.

How do you carry the brand’s Ukrainian identity through your pieces?

Being Ukrainian is an inseparable part of who I am and, naturally, of everything I create. Ukraine has a rich creative heritage, a deep appreciation for artistry and a remarkable spirit of resilience. I have the opportunity to show that Ukrainian craftsmanship is not only rooted in tradition but is also contemporary, innovative and deserving of a place on the international luxury stage.

Mariana, if someone could own just one GUZEMA piece, what should it be?

A signature ring or transformer piece. Rings are where we began, embodying so much of what makes the brand special: sculptural design, craftsmanship and personal meaning. Our transformer pieces are equally representative of our design philosophy, bringing a sense of creativity, versatility and unexpectedness to fine jewelry.

What makes Olivela a natural fit for GUZEMA?

Olivela's belief that beautiful things can do good in the world is very aligned with our own philosophy: that luxury should not exist in isolation, but should have a positive impact and always a human touch.
