My family is Ukrainian; they came to America from the Soviet Union in the late ‘80s and are intent on making a traditional Thanksgiving. But our heritage sneaks through the cracks once my grandpa starts passing out shot glasses and my grandma weighs the table down with mayonnaise-heavy, Soviet-style salads. I love being cozy, so Helmut Lang’s Apex Turtleneck Sweater and By Malene Birger’s Faux Fur Coat will make the perfect evening pairing.
