How do you curate Olivela’s brands?
We’ve refined rather than chased volume. The filter for everything is the same: does it meet our standard for craftsmanship and desirability, and does the brand share our belief that business can be a force for good?

What was missing in the retail landscape?
There’s a tension most of us feel and few of us name: the distance between lives of real luxury and so many people going without basic things. The easy assumption is that you can’t resolve it, but I kept thinking... what if you can?

What’s next for Olivela?
We’re building out our jewelry business right now. The through-line for any expansion is a single test I hold us to: does this make our founding mission more true, or does it dilute it? If it deepens the connection between what our customer wants and the good it does, we lean in.
