The Hindi word “Kundan” means “pure gold,” and in the tradition of Indian goldsmithing, Kundan is a stone setting technique using diamond slices and gemstones set in 24k gold foil. This time-honored practice is believed to have originated in India, and is one of the world’s oldest methods of setting gemstones.
