My gift wish list
Given that my working day revolves around looking at tempting new fashionable pieces, my wish list has grown extensively this past year. I’m crushing on the Mark Cross shearling clutch, which I’d wear with a tonal look to Fashion Week in February, and have loved the strappy Stine Goya number since I first laid eyes on it. And is it wrong to plan your New Year’s Eve outfit around a pair of earrings you may or may not receive? I guess this year may call for some self-gifting…
Deck the halls
For the festive season, I love to embrace the hygge aesthetic, with cozy blankets and pine scented candles, while still keeping the table decor modern and elegant. Casa Branca’s graphic bowls will look perfect against my forest green placemats and are ideal for the seafood pasta I always serve on Christmas Eve. But Christmas isn’t Christmas without a festive dish for Santa’s cookies—the kids will love popping Juliska’s Berry & Thread North Pole Dinner Plate on the mantelpiece in anticipation.
Outfit planning: Christmas Eve
Italians go big on Christmas Eve with a big seafood feast and an even bigger family gathering. This year, I am hosting and this winter white ensemble will feel both festive and comfortable as I cook (cue the apron!) and look after our guests. A slick of Phyto-Rouge Shine by Sisley Paris will finish off the look.
