If you could change one thing about the world today, what would it be?
Just one? That’s tough. What weighs heaviest on my mind is the extraordinary inequality that exists within our culture and across cultures.
What is your favorite way to give?
Who has been your greatest teacher when it comes to altruism?
My father prioritized giving, both financially and with his time. We were raised to understand how lucky we were and how it's our duty to give back.
What is the biggest misconception about charity?
That unless you have a lot of financial resources you cannot affect change. This isn’t true. If you're passionate about an issue and about helping, there are so many ways to do so—from donating time, to speaking up, to simply living in a way that shows you care.
What is the one thing you wish everyone can experience for him/herself?
Not having to go without.
